Michael Wong is a Charlotte, North Carolina real estate agent specializing in residential home buying and selling across the Charlotte metro area. Originally from Lima, Peru, Michael has lived in Charlotte for most of his adult life and brings a global perspective to local real estate transactions.
Michael graduated from Tufts University with a double major in International Relations and Economics. Prior to real estate, he built a successful career in corporate finance, holding leadership roles with both public multinational companies and privately held firms. He ultimately served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a regional retailer based in Charlotte, where he developed deep expertise in financial strategy, negotiation, and operational excellence.
Today, Michael applies that analytical background to help buyers and sellers navigate the Charlotte real estate market with precision and confidence. Known for his attention to detail and data-driven approach, he advises clients on pricing strategy, market timing, and value-maximizing transactions.
Michael is actively involved in the local and state Realtor associations, serving on the Grievance, Global, and Finance Committees at the local level, as well as the Finance Committee at the state level. He's also been elected to serve at the Citizens Revaluation Advisory board for Mecklenburg County. His leadership roles reflect a strong commitment to professionalism and the advancement of the real estate industry in North Carolina.
Fluent in Spanish, Michael works with both English- and Spanish-speaking clients. He lives in the NoDa neighborhood of Charlotte with his wife, Laura, and their four children: Matthew, Christian, Elizabeth, and Michael Francis.
