Hi, I’m Janice Gelband, a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Executive, and I’ve been helping clients buy and sell homes in Spartanburg County for 35 years. Over the decades, I’ve had the privilege of assisting many different types of buyers and sellers with a wide variety of properties — from residential homes to farms — and I still love what I do every single day.

My clients often describe me as both a “rock star” and a “bulldog,” which I take as a huge compliment. I work hard, I enjoy what I do, and I stay committed to helping my clients achieve the best possible results. Communication and negotiation are two of my strongest skills, and I’ve always had a natural ability to connect with people and help guide them through the real estate process.

Before moving to Spartanburg in 1984, I worked as a Vice President in the Garment Center in New York City. That experience strengthened my sales background and taught me the importance of dedication, persistence, and doing whatever it takes to reach a successful outcome.

I believe great real estate service comes down to trust, experience, and giving 100% every time. I also value voice-to-voice communication because real estate is ultimately about people, relationships, and understanding each client’s goals.

Outside of real estate, I enjoy traveling and horseback riding, and I’ve been involved with HALTER, a therapeutic horseback riding nonprofit, since 1989 — volunteering hands-on with the horses and serving on the board over the years.
